A Partnership!

What’s better than having a doula supporting, encouraging, and guiding you throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum?
TWO DOULAS!
Blessed Birth Doula of CNY recently partnered with Jill at Birth Blessings Doula Services. Other than the similarities in our names, why would we choose to do this? There are many reasons, but the first one is this:
We want YOU to have the best support possible. Doula partnerships provide so much for clients!
Vast experience. Our combined years of education, trainings, certifications, experiences, and knowledge are all there to benefit you. If you’re experiencing something, chances are we have too, either with a previous client or personally. As experts in our field, we take it seriously to keep updated on new, evidence-based research and information that can impact our clients, while simultaneously always knowing that birth is as old as humanity and is a normal, physiological process that is usually best when left alone.
Near constant-contact. If one of your doulas is with a laboring client, your other doula is available to answer a text or call from you – no waiting a day or two to hear back.
Shared on-call time. This may seem like a benefit for us doulas (and it is!) but it also is important for you: labor is unpredictable, and no one knows how long it will last. Your doula will support you and if she needs a rest, your other doula will take over. This ensures that you always have a doula who is well-rested and refreshed, who is ready to suggest new ideas to help labor continue progressing and additional comfort measures and emotional encouragement.
You know us. You’re able to get to know both of us prenatally, and will feel comfortable with whomever is present during your labor. If one of us has an emergency that prevents us from joining you during labor, the other will still be with you – no surprises, no strangers.
In the near future we’ll be sharing a fun Q&A-get-to-know-you blog that we hope you’ll enjoy. We’re looking forward to being able to offer more to more clients with this team approach. If you’d like to talk with us about support for you and your family, connect with us soon!

We couldn't resist doing a '90s-style roommate sitcom pose.
